What are the Honda Sensing™ features?

The suite of Honda Sensing™ technologies is made up of the following features, though the features included may differ slightly per model and trim:

Lane Departure Warning System (LDW)

Honda’s LDW system uses sensors to monitor your position in a lane. If it senses you are drifting out of a lane without signalling, it will provide both visual and tactile alerts to ensure you’re aware you’re leaving your lane.

Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM)

The Honda Sensing™ RDM system essentially works as a combination of LDW and LKAS, only to keep you on track in the event that you are swerving off the road.

Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS®)

If you don’t respond to the alerts from FCW, the CMBS® kicks in providing light brake pressure to help you slow down before a collision. If a collision is imminent, CMBS® will provide more brake pressure in an effort to slow you down or stop you completely.

Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)

If you don’t respond to the LDW alerts, LKAS can actually correct your steering and adjust your position in the lane. It does so by slowly applying torque to your steering, to position you back in the centre of the lane.

Forward Collision Warning (FCW)

FCW uses sensors to detect objects or vehicles in front of you. If you approach said objects with too much speed, your Honda will provide audible, visual, and tactile alerts to warn you of any potential collisions.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow (LSF)

The future of cruise control, ACC with LSF allows you to set both a speed and safe following distance for when you’re behind another vehicle. When you start to get to close to a vehicle ahead of you, ACC will slow down, and can even stop and start according to the flow of traffic.
